Drag Workshop

The drag praxis is a queer collective and performance praxis. It plays with the performance of gender to criticize patriarchy, binarities, permormativity and/or find empowerment. This workshop is above all a collective experience of creation and reflection around drag and gender.

The workshop is held in english and/or german (depending on the participants) and open to everyone who wanna explore and deconstruct masculinities, femininities and gender, and empower or question themselves through drag.
Content of the workshop: history of drag, discussion about gender and the politics of drag, drag king , quing and creature make-up, lip-sync, stripping, improvisation, story-telling, how to build a performance and a show. 
 Cost of the workshop : donation based (suggested 50-150e, some soli-spots available for people without ressources). You'll be asked to bring some clothes but the make-up will be furnished. There will be two full days of workshop (21.02 and 28.02, and one evening of performance on the 05.03 at AHA for the ones who feel like going on stage).

Die Drag-Praxis ist eine queere kollektive und performative Praxis. Sie spielt mit der Darstellung von Geschlecht, um Patriarchat, Binaritäten und Performativität zu kritisieren und/oder Empowerment zu finden. Dieser Workshop ist vor allem eine kollektive Erfahrung des Schaffens und der Reflexion rund um Drag und Geschlecht.

Der Workshop findet auf Englisch und/oder Deutsch statt (je nach Teilnehmer*innen) und steht allen offen, die Männlichkeit, Weiblichkeit und Geschlecht erforschen und dekonstruieren sowie sich durch Drag selbst stärken oder hinterfragen möchten.
Inhalt des Workshops: Geschichte von Drag, Diskussion über Geschlecht und die Politik von Drag, Drag King, Quing und Creature Make-up, Lippensynchronisation, Strippen, Improvisation, Geschichtenerzählen, Aufbau einer Performance und einer Show.
Kosten des Workshops: auf Spendenbasis (empfohlen werden 50-150 Euro, einige Solidaritätsplätze für Menschen ohne finanzielle Mittel sind verfügbar). Sie werden gebeten, einige Kleidungsstücke mitzubringen, das Make-up wird gestellt. Der Workshop findet an zwei ganzen Tagen statt (21.02. und 28.02.) und für diejenigen, die Lust haben, auf die Bühne zu gehen, gibt es am 05.03. einen Abend mit Aufführungen im AHA.
