English Comedy Showcase and Bar Night

Please reserve your seats using the ticket link. This is a donation-based show. We ask that you donate a minimum of EUR 10 per person. Unlike some other shows, we don't aim to make a profit. Your donation goes entirely to pay all of our guest performers, support our charity home and cover our very low operating costs. Thanks for your generosity!

Will there be a lockdown? Won't there be a lockdown? Who knows! What we do know: on December 8, Go West will present another showcase of top-notch comedy talent in the heart of Schöneberg's Rote Insel!
Our fantastic comics for December's show are

  • Fay Walsh (UK)
  • James Coon (USA)

and your amazing headliner

  • Jules Oakes (also from the UK)

...all presented by Ben MacLean, who we can safely say is the world's only diplomat turned comedian turned flight attendant.

Our plan is to bring you a super friendly night of live entertainment with the 2G concept (digital proof of vaccination or recovery). Just check this page again in the lead-up to the event to see if the setup of the event has changed or if different requirements will apply. Ms. Rona didn't stop us before and she won't stop us now!
We don't wanna brag, but we're one of Berlin's longest-running comedy nights, and we've got a bit of a reputation (but in a good way): not only do we bring you the city's best English standup comics, but we're known for our friendly vibes and our one-of-a-kind home where every drink you buy goes to support one of Germany's oldest LGBTQIA+ charities. Plus you can win prizes at Berlin's easiest half-time quiz!

And now we've teamed up with AHA's English Bar Night so you can get warmed up for the show with friends old and new at one of Berlin's best-known meeting places for the queer community. Maybe you're new in Berlin? Maybe you're not comfortable going out on your own yet because you don't know anyone? This is a great way to get in touch with like-minded people at an awesome venue with absolutely no attitude. Weather permitting, AHA's outdoor terrace will also be open. (Please note that if you're coming for drinks before the show, be sure to still reserve a ticket for the comedy night using the ticket link.)
And if you really can't join us in person, AHA will also broadcast the event live on their YouTube page. (Please note that only those attending in person are eligible for prizes during our half-time quiz.)

We can't wait to see you at the fabulous AHA for a night of awesome comedy!

Rules for visiting our show during the pandemic

We are happy to be able to offer shows at full seating capacity. 2G-plus-rules apply as mandated by the Berlin Senate. You need a valid digital certificate of vaccination or recovery to attend. Certificates can be obtained from most pharmacies with proof of vaccination or a positive PCR test result that is more than 28 days old. Additionally you need either proof of a current negative POC/PCR or of having received a booster vaccination.
We welcome your visit and your support for us as a queer venue.

Please be sure to observe the rules for hygiene and distancing when visiting our shows:

Always try to keep a minimum distance of at least 1.5 m/5 ft to others when waiting in line for admission.

Controlled admission, seating is limited, entrance only via our terrace at the rear.

To attend any indoor events and shows, you need a digital certificate of vaccination or proof of recovery together with a picture ID (2G-Rule).
Documentation of attendance is also mandatory (check-in via App or a filled out contact form). Once inside, physical distancing is no longer required.

In addition you need proof of a current negative test result or of a booster vaccination. The test can be either a POC-antigen-test (rapid test, less than 24h old) or a PCR-test (less than 48h old) from an officially licensed test center.
You do not need a test if you have proof of a booster vaccination.

Because we are also a bar, a medical mask must be worn when you are not sitting in your seat.

It is still recommended that you wash or desinfect your hands after entering the AHA.

Corona vaccines protect you from severe sickness. However they only reduce the risk of infection or infecting others. For this reason we ask you to stay at home if you suffer from acute symptoms of flu or cold, loss of smell or taste or have a fever.

Payment without cash is available and preferred. Most debit and credit cards are accepted.

Some of our shows are also broadcast online via live stream. Links will be available in the event description.
